Lidl Argan Oil Hair Treatment

A while back my bottle of L'oreal Extraordinary oil (which i adored) ran out, so while i was in Lidl I couldn't resist purchasing this Argan Oil Hair Treatment at the amazing price of €2.99 for a 100ml bottle. An absolute steal considering it is only a fraction of the price of many argan oil based products currently available.

So why the big craze about Argan oil? Argan oil is a plant oil extracted from the kernels of the argan tree, a tree which is unique to Morocco. Argan oil is a great product to add moisture and shine to dry and dull hair. In recent years the oil has been hailed as THE must have beauty ingredient. And with argan oil appearing fifth on the list of ingredients, this super cheap serum is on par with the higher end serums.

So was the oil any good? Yes yes! I apply two to three pumps of it onto freshly washed or towel dried hair. Between 2 and 5 pumps are recommended but I've found that 5 pumps makes my hair greasy and it just doesn't feel very nice. I have long enough hair so if you have short hair one to two pumps would be more than enough. The oil has a pleasant smell and the bottle has a handy pump which is quite useful. It makes my hair shiny, silky and softer than normal and there's no frizz in sight! And with argan oil appearing fifth on the list of ingredients, it appears you are getting the same amount

As with most bargain beauty products it isn't quite as good as its more expensive competitors. My hair definitely felt softer and sleeker with the L'oreal oil but for a fifth of the cost I'd gladly recommend this Lidl serum especially if you are cash strapped at the moment.

  1. This sounds great, I can never find this in my Lidl :(

    1. Well if it's any help to you I read over on Cherry Sue's blog that she managed to get products from the range at her local pharmacy for less than what they are in Lidl. Here's the link.

  2. This sounds awesome, my L'oreal oil is 100ml and that cost me SO MUCH MORE! Definitely gonna pick this up.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. Please feel free to leave a comment. I read every single one and reply to as many as I can. Please feel free to leave a link to your blog (I normally check them out anyway because I'm nosey)
