Bronzed Smokey Eye Look

This is an eye look I love to wear using my Urban Decay Naked palette. Its so simple to but looks really nice (in my opinion).

Step 1: Prime

Before I started applying eyeshadow I applied my Urban Decay eyelid primer and filled in my brows using No.7 Matte Mocha and a flat eyeshadow brush.

Step 2

I applied Half Baked from the inner corner of my eye to the half way point using my flat topped brush that came with the Naked palette

Step 3

I applied Smog from the center to the outer corner of my eyes trying not to go over the brow bone. I used my Real Techniques base shadow brush.

Step 4

I then applied Darkhorse into the crease and edges of my eyes and blended. I also ran it under my eyes along my bottom waterline. I applied the shadow with my RT accent brush and blended using my RT crease brush.

 Step 5 Finishing touches

To finish off this look I applied Virgin under my eyebrow as a highlighter. I then applied black gel liner and mascara and voila my eye makeup was done.

This is such an easy look to and (almost) always turns out looking great. One piece of advice I have is if you are planning on doing this look, do it first. Before you apply your foundation. I'm saying this because there can be a bit of fallout with the shadows and you can end up with specks of dark brown along your cheeks which is not a pretty look and is rotten to try and remove without taking all your makeup off.
I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Thanks for reading

  4. Ah, this is lovely! I was just going to add that if you mix half baked with tease you get a lovely interesting burnt gold.
I have a tip for shadow fallout- after loading the brush tap it off the side of the palatte, thats usually enough for me when im working on someone but if theres still some fallout hold folded tissue beneath your eye : )

The tissue idea is such a great one, thank you so much. That's going to save me lots of time from now on when I'm doing my makeup

    2. Ah no : ( sorry pet. I always forget which palatte is which!

It certainly is a bit fiddly to get used to doing on yourself, but it saves time & foundation.

    1. Thank you so much! I'm so obsessed with their primer as well, didn't realise how amazing a good primer is until I tried it out. Don't think I'll be able to go back to my cheap primers after using it.
