Perfume Samples: Givenchy, Lacoste and Burberry

So recently some of you may have noticed my tweet about receiving some free perfume samples. I was in Debenhams searching for an aftershave/cologne as a birthday present for my brother to give to his friend because he had no time to go into town and get it himself (I'm just so good, I know). Now let it be known I know NOTHING when it comes to aftershave for guys. I'm useless at it, so after over half an hour of aimless smelling I decided to just ask one of the ladies who worked there to help me. Within 5 minutes she had found a perfect one at half price also! She was just so helpful! To top it all off she gave me all these lovely perfume samples for going and buying my brothers presents for him.

So the three types of samples i got were:

  • Givenchy Play For Her
  • Burberry Body Tender
  • Lacoste Eau De Lacoste

Givenchy Play for Her

"A surprising and bold fragrance, Play for Her radiates its unusual alchemy, combining the floral notes of the tiare flower and the warm accords of amyris wood to create a voluptuously flowered fragrance with woody tones. Imagining a woman who is naturally seductive and ready for life's surprises, Givenchy's perfumers created this sparkling composition to astonish and captivate."

This is a really nice pleasant smell for daytime. It's not too strong and smells sweet and floral. It's a nice simple blend but sadly it didn't seem to last too long on me and I couldn't smell it no matter how hard I tried!

Burberry Body Tender

"Understated and feminine, the British scent is a light spirited expression of the iconic Burberry Body fragrance; the sparkling scent brings together a fresh surge of lemon, dewy English rose and white jasmine against a warm, effortlessly feminine soft base."

I won't lie, one of the reasons I really like this is because Cara Delevigne is the face of this fragrance
Isn't she just beautiful!
And if it's good enough for Cara it's good enough for me!
But admiration for Cara aside I really liked this (and out of the three would probably be my favourite), it's sophisticated and unique and it lasted for most of the day. It's such a lovely floral wearable scent.

Lacoste Eau de Lacoste

"Eau de Lacoste, the spirit of Lacoste in a feminine fragrance that captures the simple sensuality of delicate flowers and pure white cotton on skin. Modern, iconic and breathtakingly simple. EAU DE LACOSTE is built on a classical fragrance structure, where the fragrance evolves smoothly from top to base notes over time, but superimposing modern ingredients on traditional to generate a light fragrance profile."

This little package opened up to a vial of perfume which is so handyfor throwing into my bag for when i need it

This is such a charming fragrance that smells so fresh! It isn't overpowering at all. It's a beautiful combination of orange flower, jasmine sambac and pineapple flower.

Overall I think they are all great fragrances and once my Dolce and Gabanna The One runs out I'll probably take a trip to Debenhams again to buy one of them!

  3. Saw your comment on my blog about the sleek contour palette. The highlight colour is probably my least favourite of the three but is still a nice colour - I'm only saying that because I'm still obsessed with my Laura Gellar highlighter. The sleek one has got a little shimmer too it but nothing too over the top. :) Hope that helps x
