So last week was a hectic week to say the least. It was Charity Week at my college. Now this is a week where lots of events are held every day throughout campus in order to raise money for charity. In fact this is also a week where every student goes just a little crazy and spends the week drinking! It's great for your social life but not so great for your liver or bank balance. As you know I no longer live near college, I've moved back home (sob!) so I spent the week sleeping on floors or couches. So as you can guess after the
week not only am I a lot poorer but my body hates me just a little (since I've no place to cook food I've been living on takeaway and pizza). That's why I've decided to not only try to eat just a little healthier (e.g proper food from now on) and I'm attempting to not make any unnecessary purchases until the end of the month..............this is going to be tough!
That means no more new makeup!
So to console myself I've made a little list of all the products I feel I really need to buy when April rolls around.
- Inglot Freedom System: I think I'm in love with these. Basically you can choose a 2, 4, 5 or 10 pan eyeshadow palette and choose whatever colours you want from Inglot's range. Simple. The range is so extensive, every colour and more is there.
- Clinque Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss: I've heard rave reviews about this lipgloss. Apparently it makes even the most chapped of lips beautiful looking. It instantly relieves dryness, which is something I desperately need in this awful weather and it helps that it comes in lots of lovely colours.
- Benefit Porefessional: I have big pores.....enough said! I got a sample of this little baby a while ago in a magazine and I've been carefully rationing it because it really looks great under my makeup. Since my tub is almost out I'm really considering buying it because it makes a huge difference on my face.
- Nars Orgasm: I feel sometimes like I'm the only out there without one of the Nars blushes. With all the rave reviews I'm constantly reading I really feel like I'm missing out without this.
- Naked Basics Palette: I love matte shades. I've been embracing sheer and shimmery shades since I got my Naked palette but I'll be honest, I still love matte shades. That's why I'm dying to get my hands on this palette.
- Benefit High Beam: I'm on the lookout at the moment for a good highlighter and I've just been dying to try this out. I've read some good and not so good reviews on it which makes me skeptical and spending so much money on it......but I want it!
- Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter: I've been swatching these in my local pharmacy and I think Tutti Fruiti is just gorgeous! They seem like really great lipsticks that are suitable for daytime and nighttime.
- Blank Canvas Cosmetics: This is a great Irish brand I've been hearing loads about. I already have their contour palette and I can't find a bad word to say about it so I'm hoping that my next big spend will be on some of their brushes. They are reasonably priced so I hope their quality is as good as everyone has been making it out to be!
Really hope you guys enjoyed reading this and I really hope I can have the willpower to not buy any of these products over the next month. What do you think of my list? Would you add or remover anything from it?
The brushes are nice but I'd champion Sigma more!
ReplyDeleteReally? Thanks so much for that. I've read amazing things about Sigma too.

ReplyDeleteOh ya I totally agree with you, not too sure about benefit though. I find some of its stuff doesn't live up to the hype

I guess you could substitute the Naked palette for the MUA undress me palette, I have heard bloody amazing reviews of it? Having said that though, I still want the naked palette ;)

wishlists are great! sometimes you just get a more streamlined purchase list from it. i love a bit of online window shopping myself, once it's backed with research it's a big help with new purchases
ReplyDeleteshame your home isn't closer to college,do you have easter break next week? at least you will get a break from couchsurfing during termtime.
Making wishlists can just be so much fun! And you always end up coming across some new products you've never seen before!
