My first FOTD

Today I've decided to write a little face of the day (fotd) post. It's only going to be about my makeup becuase I'm afraid I'm not fashionable enough to do an outfit of the day.

So today I had time to actually do my makeup before I headed off to college (yipee). So I took a few snaps of my makeup. I was going for a natural, not wearing much makeup look, not too sure if I nailed it though!

Products used:
Revlon Nearly Naked 130 Shell
Catrice Allround Concealer light and medium shades
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
Rimel eyeliner in Brown
Collection eyeliner in White
Urban Decay Naked palette Virgin and Buck
MeMeMe Beat the Blues in Moonbeam
Catrice Defining Blush in Love and Peach
Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Brown
MUA lipstick Shade 4

Today I decided to fill my brows with my brow pencil. I personally prefer using the eyeshadow shade Buck from my Naked palette to fill in my brows as I feel it gives a more natural defined brow. Maybe it's my technique but I feel pencils just look very drawn on and weird looking.
What do you prefer to use?

Thanks for reading
xx

  2. I agree with you about eyebrows, I usually use powder on mine! Yours look nice and natural here though, you may have converted me :)

    1. Naaa! I'd stick with the powder tbh. I was comparing the two different ways last night, in front of the mirror (one brow in powder the other with the pencil) and the powder kicks the pencils ass! But maybe that is just for my eyebrows as I like them think and full and mine are a bit of a wonky shape!

How is the healthy eating going? I have already FAILED in my attempt today to be healthy :(
It's ok! It's quite creamy which is good but it doesn't have the most amazing staying power. What I love is the three different shades so you can customise it to be the perfect coverage for you. Still haven't nailed down how to use the green shade, tbh I don't think the green colour is very good in the palette, but for €4 it's definitely a good buy.

    1. It's only a new trend I've been following, normally my makeup is quite full coverage. But I'm actually starting to like a more lighter coverage natural look.

  6. You look fab Katie! I love the foundation, have been looking for a pale one (the lightest shade in most colours is usually too dark for me!) and I think Revlon might be next on my list!

    1. If I'm honest its just the way it looks in that photo, they are actually ridiculously short, I often get told by people how short they are....how depressing is that???

  9. The blush is really great, its only downside is it doesn't have the best longevity. Aw thanks so much , you're so sweet!
